The train stamp artist's proof gallery shows images of 170 artist's proofs. It focuses on ten series of 3-4 stamps (36 stamps total) issued between 1970 and 1975 by Congo, Gabon, Madagascar, Mali, and Niger. The stamps depict train locomotives and were designed and engraving by Andréotto, Aufschneider, Durrens, Haley, or Monvoisin. Six of the series were issued between 1970 and 1973 and depict locomotives used locally. The remaining four sets show locomotives that are well-known internationally.
